COMMUNITY PROGRAMS
LEARN TO FISH
City Cats and staff are proud supporters of Winnipeg’s Learn to Fish program. Partnering with the City of Winnipeg, local tackle stores, and the Province of Manitoba. This grassroots program provides a unique opportunity to showcase fishing techniques to new anglers.
Many of these anglers are youth and for them, this may be the first time they have ever held a fishing rod in their hands. Teaching youth about the basics of fishing will provide them with a lifelong skill that hopefully they will pass down to their children.
Courses are offered in early June in the heart of downtown Winnipeg. For more information on how you can register for this fun and enjoyable program, please visit the City of Winnipeg website at winnipeg.ca/cms.
